2006 PREMA Semiconductor is exhibiting at this year's electronica in Munich from 14th to 17th November 2006. Our location: Hall A4, Booth A4-406. The semiconductor manufacturer PREMA Semiconductor GmbH offers in-house development and production of customized, analog and mixed-signal ICs, together with standard ICs for specific applications (ASSPs), a new product segment. The applied ModuS U6 process has been enhanced continuously. NPN and PNP transistors with smaller structures are now available as well as metal-metal capacitors with a high sheet capacitance and CMOS transistors. The high voltage bipolar components allow circuit designs for supply voltages from 1V up to 100V in consumer applications and in the industrial and automotive range. Sensors like photo diodes and hall elements together with highly sensitive instrumentation amplifiers can be integrated into one chip as well as high voltage transistors and CMOS switches. Digital circuit parts can be realized with small-sized CCL gates. With these new extensions and improvements PREMA is facing the challenges of the market concerning economic integrations of various system components and higher integration density with smaller structures. The product range enhanced with ASSPs now offers solutions for customers with no requirements for custom-specific developments. One example is the new 0.9V driver PR4401 able to supply white LEDs out of one 1.5V battery cell. Only one external inductor is needed due to a high degree of integration. Nevertheless this IC is offered in a small outline SOT23-3 package. Another ASSP, PR4004, allows to operate a 40-channel LED display with an external microcontroller.
